In the latest years, we see an increasing dissatisfaction at work. This is an never stopping uptrend that could have tremendous impact, especially in the human vector. I think it is because of lack of support in many levels: Financial, Cultural, and emotional at the higher level.

I will outline here 8 reasons why we should adopt a supportive approach in the workplace. In order to achieve our professional goals, while maintaining prosperity, happiness, and satisfaction.

1. Increased confidence :

When you get to support each other’s work, giving positive feedback, you will have an increase in your self-confidence, which in turn boost engagement and eagerness to craft meaningful relatioships in the team.

The journey will flow in the workplace, making it fun and easy going, and transfering your positive energy to your coworkers.

This is another skill to be learned and aquired, even before you join the workforce. It goes hand in hand with the first one. When you communicate clearly, it will become easy to understand each other, becoming more productive, as well as finishing deadlines and goals.

Instead of hiding problems and concerns, it is better to have an open place to bring them outside to be solved, sharing our true thoughts along the way. While increasing trust between peers.

3. Team spirit :

Generating a team spirit mindset will undoubtedly take hold in all the peers, giving those previous reasons. All of them now part of a mission.

If you are in a higher rank, you will find that this will go sometime, this is your responsibility to stimulate it all over again, as people lost themselves in their tasks.

In any workplace, you should know that your peers are not like you, but this doesn’t have to be bad, they are from different races, backgrounds… You have to capitalize on this for your cultural, professional career.

It will test your open-mindedness, mental flexibility, giving you knowledge that you could not know before, it should resonate in other parts of your life as well.

5. Leadership skills :

You want to be influential and respected, it is important to develop good leadership skills, not by bossing people around, but by helping them, being around for them, you are the one who they will strive to be like, so you should be a model.

By bringing the best that you can get from your team, you will also improve your leadership skills: Taking ownership, humility, communication, and motivation.

6. Increased commitement :

Everyone will be commited to a corporation that support each employees, even if the mission is not something big, but they will be loyal to the grave if they being part of a community. Overlooking low pay, or other meaningless motivations to joining a company.

As value added by employees whenever small is appreciated, this will decrease absense, or even resignation, as well as the increased reputation among the competition.

7. Diversity and inclusivity is the future :

This is a major trend that will eventually take hold in the future. this generation is seen to be more supportive and inclusive than old ones. It is undenieable to adopt this as a core value in all global organizations.

Tolerance among races is so important, in outside of work too. We are all humans at the end of the day, so why tension in the face of change or differences.

8. Physical and mental health benefits :

With so much time spent in the workplace, mental and physical energy will be under stress most of the time, this doesn’t have to be this way.

The above reasons will eventually benefit you can never imagine. Increased vitality, motivation, and well-being is a good investement in yourself that will pay dividends in your career, your life, in everything pretty much. Maintaining consistency in the long run for future common goals.

The bottom line is that all those reasons will definitely produce only good outcomes for both employees and employers alike, the human capital is an important resource in any venture; It needs support, help… Whitout it nothing can or could be achieved.

Work is the place where adults spend much of their time. A good workplace will influence your attitude towards other things in the outside, so be aware of those reasons to be present in any place you work in. This is the path to success, satisfaction, prosperity, and meaning in your life.
